The short version: Deadbolt collects no personal data. There is no account and no tracking.

What Deadbolt works with

Deadbolt is an app blocker built on Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. What the app works with stays on your iPhone:

• Your app selections. The apps and categories you choose to block are handled by Apple's framework as opaque, privacy-preserving tokens. Deadbolt cannot see the names of the apps you select, and this information never leaves your device.
• Your sessions and stats. Session history, schedules, and the "hours reclaimed" counter are stored locally on your device.

Analytics & advertising

Deadbolt contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics tracking. The app does not build an advertising profile of you and does not sell your data.

Purchases

Deadbolt Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are handled through your App Store account; we never receive your name, email address, or payment details. Subscription status is validated to unlock Pro features. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

Children

Deadbolt is designed for adults managing their own screen time and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
